Oberon plunged BACK into lockdown after less than three weeks

Oberon will be plunged back into lockdown after stay-at-home orders were lifted for less than three weeks.

The local government area came out of a previous lockdown on September 11 but will go back into lockdown from 6pm on Wednesday.

The lockdown will go for at least seven days.

The decision to put the region back into lockdown was made after an “increased COVID-19 public health risk”.

“Everyone in this LGA must stay at home unless it is for an essential reason, which includes shopping for food, medical care, getting vaccinated, compassionate needs, exercise and work or tertiary education if you can’t work or study at home,” NSW Health said.

This is a developing story. More to come.
