Canberra records 13 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 13 new cases of COVID-19.

It comes amid a surge in testing numbers and lengthy waits, some almost three hours long, at Canberra clinics.

Hospitalisations due to the virus remain stable, with three patients being treated.

None are in intensive care or on a ventilator.

Vaccination levels have climbed slightly to 98.4 per cent of residents aged 12 and older.

The number of active cases has risen to 112, up from 103 the day before.

There were 4025 COVID-19 tests conducted at government-run clinics in the 24 hours to 9am on Monday.

Many clinics have reported large testing surges in recent days, driven by a rise in Omicron cases in other jurisdictions and travel requirements.
